CrossFit 2600 trainers are all CrossFit certified, run successful personal training businesses, and are passionate CrossFitters themselves. Our team of trainers are as varied as our training, with each trainer bringing their own unique coaching style and energy to our members
Josh Birch
Josh is a Level 1 CrossFit Instructor holding CrossFit Olympic Lifting, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Coaches Prep Course and CrossFit Kids specialty certifications. Josh has current certifications with Australian Weightlifting Federation State Coach Level 1, Kettlebell training and has attended the crossFit Rugby Seminar. He has a bachelor of Sports Management degree with a minor in Exercise and Sports Science.
Josh played Rugby Union on scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport and represented Australia in the U19 and the U21 National Level playing in 2 World Cups, and played professionally with the A.C.T Brumbies in the Super 12 Competition. A large part of his strength and conditioning training at the A.I.S and the Brumbies was Olympic Lifting which has greatly assisted his transition to CrossFitting. Josh has been CrossFitting for over 3 years and in 2010 competed in the NSW/ACT Sectionals finishing 8th. In 2011 he finished 16th at the Australian Regionals.
Kai Brownlie
Kai is a CrossFit level 1 coach and competitor. In 2011 he finished 6th at the Australian/NZ finals, placing 3rd and 4th in the final 2 events. In 2010 he placed 21st in the national finals and 1st at the Smash Clash (teams). Previously holding rugby union scholarships at ACTAS and AIS, with highlights playing against NZ A and Brumby tours to Europe and Japan, Kai knows what focus and dedication it takes to reach the highest level. Kai has certificates 3 & 4 in fitness, Punchfit trainer and CrossFit Olympic lifting. He is also a member of ACT weightlifting as an athlete. He uses his straight talking experience from his days in the construction (foreman) industry, combined with a team first attitude from his sporting endeavours to encourage and push his clients to be the best they can be.

Pip is a fitness professional with more than 20 years’ experience across a range of disciplines in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Pip has a diverse training background heavily based in dance and has successfully competed at a national level in martial arts and sport aerobics. She has also worked as a national presenter in the fitness industry.
Pip has competed at a national level in CrossFit as a team member in CrossFit 2600s representation at Regionals in 2011 and 2012. She has placed in the top 100 female athletes in the Australia and New Zealand. Pip is an avid CrossFitter, committed to constantly learning and improving her skills to better help her clients. To this end she has completed a number of CrossFit courses including: CrossFit level 1 certification, CrossFit Rugby, CrossFit Olympic Lifting, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Kids and CrossFit Coaches Prep. She has also attended special courses including Pendlay Weightlifting Level 1 and 2, mobility training course with Kelly Starrett and Gymnastics WOD guru Carl Paoli.
