Age 49 Small Business Owner, mother of 2
If you are wondering whether PT and CrossFit training is for you, then the answer is an emphatic yes! I am so thrilled with the results I have achieved, the experience of PT and the value it delivers me that I have sometimes caught myself boring people at parties by telling them all about it.
At 43 years of age, I was overweight, out of condition, recovering from a knee replacement for an arthritic joint and my doctor told me to prepare myself for having the other one replaced in 3 years. Now, at nearly 50, I have dropped 2 dress sizes, totally changed my body shape, improved my strength and cardio fitness in a way that still astounds me, returned to activities that I thought I would never do again, like bushwalking and snow skiing, and along the way gained a lot of self-respect. And best of all, the other knee replacement has not been needed! I put this down to the efforts of my personal trainer Pip, and the fantastic program that she has prepared for me over the last 2 years.
Pip is an awesome trainer. She knows just when to push me, and when to back off. She’s a warm, funny person with an optimistic outlook and she just motivates me to do things that I never ever would have thought possible and that I would definitely never do on my own. CrossFit offers so much variety that you almost never do the same workout twice unless you want to – so you never get bored. As a natural klutz, even I can do the various exercises – so they are obviously both simple and effective!
Personal training on the CrossFit program is the best investment I have ever made in myself – and it keeps getting better. I just wish I’d done it earlier.
